Hedgehog Rolls

There is no better than being able to bake your own bread and the wonderful Hedgehog Rolls present a fun cooking activity for kids.

 

Ingredients:

  • 450 g Plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 Dry yeast sachet
  • 50 g butter
  • 250 mL Al Naseem milk
  • ½ Al Naseem Natural yaourt
  • 1 egg
  • Currants / sultanas

Preparation:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients.
  2. Add the wet ingredients and mix it.
  3. Once everything has come together knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough with cling film and leave it in a warm place for about an hour.
  5. Divide the dough into balls.
  6. Shape them into hedgehogs by pulling them slightly at one side to give them a nose.
  7. Finally, add a few currants or sultanas halves for the eyes before setting them down on your prepared baking tray.
  8. Bake the hedgehog rolls oven to 200C Fan for 10-15 minutes.

Chocolate Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 10 tablespoons plain flour
  • 3 tablespoonshazelnut
  • ⅓tablespoonsstarch
  • 2 tablespoonsvanillasugar
  • 2 tablespoonscocoapowder
  • 1 pinch of pinksalt
  • 300 ml Al Naseem milk
  • Darkchocolate chips for topping

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  2. Mix all ingredients, except for the chocolate chips into a bowl and mix well to a smooth batter.
  3. Add batter into a muffin baking dish. You can also use cupcake cups.
  4. Top with chocolate chips and bake for 25 minutes. Test with a skewer, and if it comes out clean, they’re ready.
